About Torch

Our History:

A brief history of the Torch of Salvation Ministry:

In November 2005, after spending several days praying and seeking God’s direction for my long term ministry, God showed me that my life project is to fulfill the Great Commission, taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.

So in March 2006, in a meeting with 14 brothers in a room of a house we launched the vision and began the work in Sancti Spíritus city. We spent the first five years of our ministry establishing the local church, which we named Torch of Salvation.

In 2010 some churches in the area joined us and began a regional work that shaped our vision as a para-eclessiastical ministry. We stablished this ministry with the purpose of unite the churches of a geographical area to conduct evangelistic events, revitalize churches and plant new churches.

As of this date, we have conducted more than 30 evangelistic campaigns with foreigners and nationals, in the central zone of Cuba. More than 10,000 people have accepted Christ as Savior. We have trained about 200 pastors and missionaries; and we have helped to plant more than 20 churches. At the same time, we have helped through the churches more than 1200 poor families with food and medicine and many churches with transportation and meeting facilities.

Seeing the impact of the ministry, pastors and brothers from the United States recommended us to establish it as an international ministry in the United States, with the intention of taking this work beyond the borders of our country. So on March 20, 2019 we founded TOSI (Torch of Salvation International) in Vienna, USA.

Since then we have been supporting churches in the following areas:

1. Evangelism.

2. Planting new churches.

3. Training leaders.

4. Giving social aid.

5. Helping create logistical facilities.

In the area that we start our first model of ministry, a movement of evangelism and planting new churches was generated, which remains to this day. The most beautiful thing is that, although we continue to support them, they no longer need our intervention or leadership to continue. The pastors and leaders have acquired the skills to organize themselves and work with the objective of fulfilling the Great Commission as applied to their local context.

Today, our vision is to implement this strategy in many other places around the world. Our main goal is to inspire, mobilize, equipped and involved the churches to spread the gospel on their populations so they may generate an autonomous and reproducible movement.

We have many dreams, few resources, but much confidence in the God of whom we can say “Ebenezer” (God has helped us up to here).

We still have a long way to go, we ask you to join us in this vision of God to continue doing exploits in His name and for his glory.
