We must understand as a church the need for reconciliation with God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is an open invitation to experience God’s unconditional love. It centers on the person and work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who became man, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins and rose victorious, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him.
The proclamation of this Gospel transcends cultural and geographical barriers. It is not limited to a certain group of people, but extends to all humanity. It is a message of hope for the afflicted, comfort for those who mourn, freedom for the captives and healing for the broken.
The call to evangelization is a call to participate in this transforming work. It is an invitation to be ambassadors for Christ, taking his message of love and hope to every corner of the Earth. No matter what our gifts or talents, we can all contribute to the extension of God’s Kingdom, whether through prayer, financial support, practical service or the proclamation of the Gospel.
This week, some members of the Antorcha de Salvación Baptist Churchtogether with the missionary Osvalmy Jaramillo, had the great privilege of sharing the Gospel of Christ in the Spiritan community of Las Tosas, where some inhabitants were ready to listen to the message of good news of salvation for the lost.
May each of us respond to this call with courage and passion. May the Holy Spirit empower and guide us, giving us wisdom and discernment to share the Gospel in an effective and relevant way. May the whole world know the redeeming love of Christ and experience the transformation that only He can offer.
