It has been a great blessing to be able to share the gospel of Christ to a large number of people in different neighborhoods of the city of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba. A group of brothers and sisters from the ¨Antorcha de Salvación¨ Baptist Church preached the Good News of salvation in Christ on July 15, 16 and 17 in the neighborhoods of Kilo 12, Camino de la Habana and Agramonte.
The preaching of the Gospel is merely the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ, revealing the central message of his life, death and resurrection, and its meaning for humanity. It is characterized by the proclamation of God’s unconditional love, manifested in the sacrifice of his Son Jesus Christ for the redemption of the world. . It announces the forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God and the promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
On July 15 and 16 we had the opportunity to share this glorious message in the neighborhoods of Kilo 12 and Camino de la Habana, where approximately 27 people were ready to listen to the message, and 9 of them made a profession of faith in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
On July 17 we visited the neighborhood of Agramonte, where 22 people heard about the salvation that our God has provided in Jesus, 5 of them professing their faith in our Lord and Savior.
The preaching of the Gospel is an essential task for the Church. It is Jesus’ command to his disciples: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). It involves an ongoing commitment to evangelization, both locally and globally, seeking to reach those who have not yet heard the message of salvation.
