Today, we want to share with you the joy and vision that the Lord has placed in the hearts of our brothers Daniel and Sonia, who have responded to God’s call to plant a church in the town of Sevilla in Villa Clara, Cuba. As Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart devises his course, but his steps are directed by the Lord.” We firmly believe that God is directing every step of this new mission.
This church plant is a tangible expression of Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Daniel and Sonia’s desire is to extend the Kingdom of God in Seville, bringing the message of hope and salvation to those who do not yet know it.
We know that the road of mission often presents challenges. At this particular time, we ask in prayer for our brethren that the Lord would provide a reliable and efficient means of transportation to carry out their ministry to allow them to make the necessary home visits, reach more distant areas and bring the love of Christ to those who need it most. As 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in all things, you may abound to every good work.
