Beloved brothers and friends,
We wish to share with you an update that fills us with joy and, at the same time, invites us to continue walking together in the work of the Lord.
In the heart of Barrio África, Yaguajay, Cuba, the Second Baptist Church continues to carry out a quiet yet deeply transformative work through its Children’s Ministry. Driven by the conviction that faith is not inherited but rather taught with intention and purpose, a committed team is sowing the truth of God’s Word into the new generations.
The instruction provided is not limited to merely conveying information. Its focus is clear: to impart biblical truth through educational activities that enable each child to understand, internalize, and live out what they have learned. In this way, the Word is not merely heard, but applied from an early age.
This ministry is coordinated by Michele Galañena Rodríguez, alongside a faithful team comprising Georgina Monteagudo and Melisa Castro, who lead each of the groups with wholehearted dedication. Currently, they are ministering to 17 children, but the team’s desire is to reach at least 27—thereby opening up the opportunity to impact more lives and families within the community.
This effort is deeply grounded in the Word of God:
📖 Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
📖 2 Timothy 3:16–17 “All Scripture is inspired by God… so that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
