Pastoral Residence

The Christian Doctrine class for the pastors and church planters residency was held at the Torch of Salvation Baptist Church, with the participation of several pastors and members from various churches in our region.

The pastoral residency, a model of intensive training for future church leaders, is distinguished by its practical and relational approach. However, a truly transformative residency cannot ignore a solid foundation: Christian doctrine. In a world where absolute truths are blurred and subjective interpretations gain ground, the pastoral residency must be a crucible where doctrine is internalized, lived, and communicated with clarity and conviction.

A pastoral residency that prioritizes Christian doctrine is not limited to an academic exercise. It is not simply about memorizing creeds and theological definitions. The goal is much deeper: to transform the resident’s character in light of biblical truths.

The pastoral residency, with Christian doctrine at its core, is essential for the formation of leaders of integrity, capable of guiding the church in a confusing and challenging world. By internalizing, living, and communicating doctrine with clarity and conviction, residents are equipped to serve God and his people with wisdom, humility, and love. Doctrine is not mere decoration, but the indispensable foundation of effective and lasting pastoral leadership. It is the compass that guides, the anchor that sustains, and the light that illuminates the pastor’s path.
