The Second Baptist Church of Yaguajay (located in the África neighborhood),Yaguajay, Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, and the Baptist Church of Mayajigua—sharing a unified vision and purpose—have undertaken the task of preaching the Gospel in the mountainous southern zone of the Yaguajay municipality, a region comprising approximately 23 settlements that lack established churches.
Over a year ago, both congregations planted the Llanada Arriba mission. Recently, the “Senderos de Esperanza” (Paths of Hope) missionary group joined the project, creating a collaborative effort involving three churches. To date, they maintain active missions in the localities of Nela (a checkpoint area), Baño de los Brujos, La Bomba, Llanada Abajo, Jobo Rosado, Meneses, and La Gloria.
However, there remain other hard-to-reach settlements where the spread of the Gospel is limited by a shortage of workers. Faced with this reality, project leaders plan—God willing—to plant three additional churches and to continue training and recruiting new members for the Senderos de Esperanza missionary team, aiming to reach the remaining areas with divine help. In this regard, Pastor Yhosvanni Cruz (of the Yaguajay-África church) and missionaries Berta Moya, Arianny Rodríguez, and Orbis Martínez ask for prayers for this missionary project, that the Word of God may be preached throughout Cuba.
With gratitude, TOSI International / “Antorcha de Salvación” Baptist Church.
