Children and the mission 22/03/2025

At the Second Bethel Baptist Church in the Africa Neighborhood, a new Children’s Ministry project entitled “Jesus Loves You” has begun. The main objective of this project is to provide workshops and activities specifically designed for children’s worship, creating a space where children can learn about and experience Jesus’ love in a fun and meaningful way.

The project will be carried out during 2025 through weekly meetings and workshops for children of all ages. These meetings, which will last four hours each, will be led by leaders and teachers from our church, who are committed to the teaching and spiritual growth of the little ones.

It is important to note that evangelistic work in the children’s ministry tends to grow, which leads us to rethink the logistics and resources needed to serve a growing number of children. Although we may initially face financial limitations, it is essential to remember that when systematic and dedicated work is done, God increases the congregation. Therefore, we must be prepared for the upcoming growth, as managing a larger group of children could be challenging in the future.

To carry out this project effectively, we have identified the following resources we will need:

Materials: 2 packs of paper, 10 boxes of colored pencils, coloring paper, Christian board games: $20.

Snacks: Fruit, cookies, soft drinks: $20.

Gifts: 30 small gifts: $20.

The Children’s Ministry of the Second Bethel Baptist Church in Barrio África is excited about the opportunity to impact the lives of children through the “Jesus Loves You” project. With the guidance of Michele Galañena Rodríguez, our Children’s Ministry leader, and the spiritual support of Yhosvanni Cruz Puerto, our pastor, we are committed to creating an environment where children can grow in their faith and know the unconditional love of Jesus.

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,’ For to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 10:14.
