Amid the devastation left by the cyclone in Veguitas, Granma (Cuba), God once again demonstrated that His Church is a living instrument of hope.A group of brothers and sisters in faith, moved by the grace of the Lord, delivered tangible aid to severely affected families. Together with the beloved Pastor Lemit and the local Baptist church, they channeled donations to address urgent and real needs.
What did his generosity mean?
- Purchase of roofing for damaged homes
- Acquisition of water turbines for communities without reliable access
- Repair of severely damaged homes
- What was a donation to some was a balm to others.
- It was security. It was rest. It was restored dignity.
- Even before the distribution, something powerful happened: people were impacted by seeing how, in the midst of their trial, God had not forgotten them. He worked through His people.
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”. (Philippians 2:13)
Every contribution was visible evidence of this verse. Every roof placed was a declaration of Christ’s love. Every home restored was a silent preaching of the gospel. As Acts 20:35 teaches: “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak.” Today we thank God for you, for your compassion, your commitment, and your faithfulness in past years and now, because your generosity not only rebuilds structures… it rebuilds hope. To Him be all the glory.
