Dear brothers and donors of Torch of Salvation International (TOSI).
We would like to share with you news that fills our hearts with gratitude and praise to God. Thanks to your generosity and commitment to the mission, the project to drill a potable water well in the community of Veguitas, in the province of Granma, Cuba, has been successfully completed. This project was funded 100% by our ministry TOSI, made possible through the offerings of you, our faithful partners.
The community of Veguitas, where the church led by Pastor Lemit Lugo serves, celebrated with songs and prayers the completion of a project that for a long time seemed like a distant dream. What began as an urgent need has become a living testimony of how God provides and uses the generosity of His people to bless others.
For years, many families in this area faced a severe shortage of water. One of the most moving stories was that of Sister Yanet, a faithful member of the congregation who had to walk more than a kilometer each day carrying containers just to bring water to her home. Her story reflected the reality of many other families in the neighborhood.
During the inauguration of the well, Pastor Lemit Lugo expressed with deep emotion:
“Thanks be to the Lord, the well has been completed. Today we can say that, as a church, we not only build spiritual temples, but we are also instruments to bring tangible solutions to our communities. To see the water flowing here is to see the hand of God moving through His people.”
What once seemed impossible due to the high cost of drilling became a reality thanks to the offerings and generous hearts of brothers and sisters who believe in the mission of bringing the Gospel together with practical expressions of love.
Today, life in the community has changed. The well not only supplies water to Sister Yanet’s family but also to several nearby neighbors. What was once a daily walk filled with effort has now become a water faucet in her own yard, restoring dignity and relief to many families.
This well has become a symbol of hope in the Flora neighborhood of Veguitas. Families can now cook, wash, and live with greater peace of mind. But even more importantly, the church now has a new opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to the entire community.
Thank you for being part of this miracle.Your generosity has allowed the Gospel to be expressed not only in words, but also in concrete actions that transform lives.
We invite you to continue praying for the church and the entire Veguitas community, that this work will continue opening doors for the Gospel and that many people will come to know Christ.
With gratitude in the Lord,
José Luis Milián Sánchez
