Once again, by the grace of our God, the glorious gospel of Christ was preached in the community of Las Tosas, on the outskirts of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, last Monday, July 14th. A group of brothers and sisters joined missionary Osvalmy Jaramillo to announce the good news of salvation in Jesus to a group of people from the community.
The preaching of the gospel of Christ is the proclamation of God’s transforming power, the revelation of His unconditional love, and the invitation to a life of reconciliation and hope. It is the proclamation that, despite our imperfection and sin, God has loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins and rise again, conquering death and offering us eternal life.
On this occasion, our great God, in His mercy and will, allowed 16 people to hear the message of salvation in Christ, and three of them to make a profession of faith, acknowledging Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Preaching the gospel involves confronting sin and calling for repentance, but always from a place of grace and compassion. We acknowledge that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but we also proclaim that God is willing to forgive and restore all who repent and believe in Jesus.
