The Lord’s work continues to advance faithfully at the Second Baptist Church of Yaguajay, located in the África neighborhood, where, by God’s grace, a truly fruitful and hopeful ministry is developing for the community.
For the past several years, the church has maintained a firm commitment to the faithful preaching of the gospel, bringing the good news of Christ to homes, families, and individuals in need of hope. The evangelistic ministry has been one of the greatest evidences of the Lord’s faithfulness, reaching new lives through visits, small groups, personal evangelism, and the constant witness of the members.
Likewise, the children’s ministry has grown remarkably. Every week, the children gather to learn the Word of God, sing, memorize Scripture, and hear the message of the gospel. Seeing so many children being reached by Christ is a source of gratitude and also a reminder of the urgent need to continue investing in the next generation.
Furthermore, God has enabled this congregation to have an active missionary vision, participating in church planting efforts and the expansion of the gospel in other areas. This reflects the desire not only to grow as a local congregation, but also to be instruments so that other communities may have a healthy, biblical witness to the gospel.
The spiritual and numerical growth of the church has been evident. More and more people are gathering, participating, and serving, to the point that the current meeting place is becoming insufficient for the number of attendees and the various ministry activities that take place there. Therefore, there is a real need to expand the meeting space to continue serving the congregation more effectively.
We thank the Lord for what He is doing in the África neighborhood through the Second Baptist Church of Yaguajay. We pray that He will continue to save lives, strengthen His church, and provide everything necessary for the gospel to continue advancing powerfully in Yaguajay and beyond.
