Grateful to God, members of the Cuban Baptist Medical Fellowship have spent the last four years conducting health outreach events at churches across their province, serving both rural areas and the provincial capital.
The group is also part of the “Light a Candle” project, which supports children with debilitating chronic illnesses and their families.
In a context marked by medicine shortages and the spread of diseases—issues that disproportionately affect the most vulnerable communities—this work is of crucial importance. Despite limited pharmaceutical and diagnostic resources, the ministry has succeeded in bridging the gap in healthcare, offering medical consultations and providing available medications to those in greatest need.
Over the past year, they launched missionary health clinics, which have been operating for four months. Every Wednesday, they provide medical care, distribute available medications, and share the message of salvation. In doing so, they have not only helped many people manage their physical ailments but have also opened spiritual doors in homes and neighborhoods where the Gospel previously faced barriers. Their steadfast dedication has served as a vehicle for extending the Kingdom of God, transforming adversity into an opportunity for faith and hope.
Their motto is “Preaching and healing go hand in hand,” and they summarize their journey with the word *Ebenezer* (“Thus far the Lord has helped us”), convinced that, despite the scarcity, divine provision has sustained them at every step.
