The Gospel Is Bearing Fruit in Mayajigüa.

Good news is coming from this community, where the work of the Lord is advancing steadily and with hope. At the beginning of the second decade of this century, Mayajigüa was only a prayer request—a place where believers longed to establish a new preaching point, as there was no evangelical church present. Today, that prayer is being answered as the Gospel takes root in this community.

The church, pastored by Brother Arianny Rodríguez, is witnessing visible fruit of the power of the Gospel in a simple setting that remains open to the Word of God.

Currently, the congregation has 16 active members; however, weekly attendance reaches approximately 20 people, reflecting a growing openness in the community to hear the message of salvation.

In recent days, the mission work has taken a significant step forward with the launch of three new home groups (cells) in different areas of Mayajigüa. These gatherings in homes aim not only to expand the reach of the Gospel, but also to strengthen discipleship, fellowship, and the study of God’s Word, following the model of the early church described in Acts 2:42.

Alongside this effort, the church continues to hold regular prayer meetings, recognizing that it is the Holy Spirit who builds the Church, guides it, and opens doors.

And indeed, one of those doors was recently opened. In a home within the community, the residents welcomed the start of a new cell group. During a house meeting held yesterday, two individuals made professions of faith in Christ, taking a step of repentance and trust in the Lord.

This event reaffirms the promise of Romans 10:13: “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved,” and reminds us, as taught in 1 Corinthians 3:6–7, that it is God who gives the growth, while His servants plant and water.

For the friends of Torch of Salvation International (TOSI), these developments confirm that the faithful preaching of the Gospel, accompanied by prayer and intentional community outreach, continues to be the means God uses to transform lives.

Likewise, this visible fruit strengthens the conviction expressed in Isaiah 55:11, that God’s Word does not return empty, but accomplishes the purpose for which it is sent.

The call now is to continue in prayer for Brother Arianny Rodríguez, for the consolidation of the three new cell groups, and for the two individuals who have begun their walk with Christ. We also invite you to pray for the children and families being reached, that the work may continue to grow and bear fruit.

Meanwhile, in Mayajigüa, the promise continues to be fulfilled day by day:
“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47).
