This afternoon, the grace of God manifested once again in the community of El Entronque de Guasimal in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, where several brothers and sisters from the mission received medicines.
These supplies were acquired within the means available to the “Antorcha de Salvación” (Torch of Salvation) Baptist Church and were subsequently distributed among those in greatest need. This effort was carried out in collaboration with missionary Osvalmy Jaramillo, who serves this area.
Scripture reminds us in James 2:15-16: “If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?” The provision of these medicines is nothing less than a reflection of faith working through love—a faith that missionary Osvalmy Jaramillo and the “Antorcha de Salvación” Baptist Church have put into practice during this endeavor.
It is God’s grace that has provided the means, the resources, and the opportunity for this aid to be purchased and distributed, even amidst current limitations. “For every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights (James 1:17)”. Thus, what took place this afternoon in El Entronque de Guasimal—a mission outpost of our church—stands as a silent yet tangible testimony of the love of Christ in action, channeled through the service of missionary Osvalmy Jaramillo.
Without the need for additional human commentary, the delivery of these medicines speaks for itself: the Gospel is not merely preached, but is demonstrated through concrete acts of mercy. To Him be the glory.
